On September 15th, the Opening Ceremony and Orientation for International Students of Class 2025 of Liupanshui Normal University were held in Classroom 211 of Hanxue Building. A total of 19 international students from countries including Tanzania, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Laos attended the event, along with responsible comrades from the School of International Education, Student Affairs Department, Security Department, Modern Education Technology Center, and Logistics Department of the university. The ceremony was hosted by Professor Wu Delu, Vice Dean of the School of International Education. 

In his speech, Zhang Wu, Dean of the School of International Education, extended a warm welcome to the incoming international students. He urged them to cherish the learning opportunities, adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, and achieve academic success at an early date. Dr. Fei Jie delivered a speech as the teacher representative, and Alidod Asanev from Tajikistan spoke on behalf of the international students. Both expressed full expectations for the upcoming teaching and learning life and great confidence in the future. 

This opening ceremony and orientation have opened a new chapter for international students’ life and study in a foreign country. They will gain knowledge, friendship, and personal growth at the university, promoting the exchange and integration of different cultures. Brief Background 

The enrollment of international students is a key part of Liupanshui Normal University’s internationalization strategy, aiming to enhance cross-cultural communication and foster global talents. Since launching its international student program in 2019, the university has recruited over 80 international students from more than 20 countries, offering Chinese-taught programs in fields such as Chinese Language and Literature, Education, Tourism Management，and Computer Science. The annual opening ceremony and orientation serve as an important platform to help international students adapt to campus life, understand academic requirements, and integrate into the university community, laying a solid foundation for their subsequent study and life in China.
