From May 21st to 24th, leaders from the Rayong Provincial Education Office of Thailand visited Liupanshui Normal University for exchange activities as invited.

On the morning of May 22nd, an exchange forum was held in Mingde Hall of the Academic Exchange Center. Zhang Long, Vice President of the university, delivered a welcome speech. Attendees included Mrs. Nansaporn Ninarun, Director of Rayong Provincial Education Office of Thailand, Miss. Sutimas Aphirukvanich, Director of the Teaching and Research Section, Mrs. Narumon, Principal of Anudatsa School, Li Weiling, Teacher from Thailand Shengtang Education Group, relevant comrades from the Foreign Affairs Office of Liupanshui Municipal Party Committee, and Liu Zuqin, Deputy District Mayor of Liuzhi Special District.

Zhang Long extended a warm welcome to the visiting leaders and briefly introduced the general situation of Liupanshui City and the university. He pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand half a century ago, the two countries have adhered to mutual respect, equality, sincere mutual trust and mutual assistance. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Thailand diplomatic relations and the Golden 50 Years of China-Thailand Friendship. Both sides should make new contributions to the development of education in China and Thailand, and more outstanding Thai students are welcome to study at Liupanshui Normal University.

Director Nansaporn Ninarun expressed sincere thanks to the university for its warm reception and careful arrangement. She briefly introduced the development of education in Thailand, analyzed the demand for talents driven by Thailand's economic and social development, and hoped that both sides would deepen cooperation in teacher training, exchange and study between Chinese and Thai students, so as to continuously improve the level of teacher team construction and the quality of talent training. Participants conducted in-depth exchanges on Chinese teaching, cultural exchanges, industrial development and other aspects. Relevant comrades from the Liuzhi Special District Government introduced the complementarity between Liuzhi's economic and social development and that of Rayong Province, and put forward the initiative of establishing international friendship cities.

Responsible comrades from the university's International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Party Committee Teachers' Work Department and Academic Affairs Office attended the forum.

The visiting delegation from Rayong Provincial Education Office also inspected the campus cultural construction, visited the library, international student dormitories, international student classrooms, etc., and observed the Chinese language teaching classes for international students in depth.
